Daniel Jositsch, lawyer and politician, will talk about his career, his everyday life as a parliamentarian and his work as a lawyer and professor of criminal law.
Daniel Jositsch finished his studies at the University of St. Gallen and is a lawyer since 1998. He has been a professor of criminal law at the University of Zurich since 2004. In the 1990s, he worked for several years in South America, in Bogotá, Colombia, as the managing director of a Swiss chamber of commerce. He has been President of the Swiss Commercial Association since 2011. From 2007 to 2015, he was a member of the National Council. Since 2015, he has represented the Canton of Zurich in the Council of States. Since 2018, he has also been Vice-President of the Social Democratic Group. Daniel Jositsch currently runs for office as successor of Federal Council Alain Berset.
