Fun Event: City Activities in Zurich

Samstag, 8. September 2018 11:00 - Sonntag, 9. September 2018 13:00, Uetliberg

Dear Rotaractors, friends and guests,

Saturday, 8th of September, and Sunday 9th of September, we will have a dear friend of ours visiting Zurich – Craig Leon Simons, past-president of Rotaract club of Hampstead, Hendon & Golders Green in London.

Many of you know him through Rotaract Couch Facebook group, where he is known as the superman, who connected hundreds of Rotaractors worldwide. Those of you, who have attended international events, also know him as the famous Rotaract photographer.

Craig was born with the Asperger Syndrome, which left him isolated and bullied for years, until he joined Rotaract. In March this year, he already shared with us his amazing journey and how eventually, joining Rotaract changed and turned his life upside down.

He will be visiting our beautiful city this weekend and we will spend the Saturday and Sunday together with him.

We have set up the following program together with him:

1) Saturday Morning activities (approx. 11am – 3pm):

We will all go for a walk up on Uetliberg, have lunch at Uto Staffel and then walk down to the city. Depending on the weather, we might also take the train up to Uetliberg, have lunch and then walk down.

The starting point is Triemli train station, so see you all there at 11:00.

2) Saturday Dinner (approx. 6:30pm – 10pm):

After a little afternoon break, we will reserve a nice table depending on the number of people.

3) Sunday Morning (approx. 10am – 1pm):

We will visit the botanical garden and have lunch, before Craig leaves to the airport.

Attending each one of these 3 activities, will give you one extra attendance point, with which you can e.g. make up for a missed official event on Tuesdays or even push your attendance to higher than 100%
